The great plastic surgery event was held in Montreal this year.The Americans had the good idea of inviting the Canadians to this congress.
Moreover, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is open to all the best international speakers, so much so that in the end the American Congress is a world congress, as the audience comes together from around the whole world.
In fact, this Congress is like America itself:
- for the laboratories: stunning “mammoth stands” of 300 m2 with thick carpeting and giant screens
- entertainment in huge aisles, with the Cirque du Soleil setting the tempo...
- presentation halls that can accommodate 2,000 people
- and of course, the highest scientific standards
I was classified as an International Expert and I gave a course lasting two-and-a-half hours on body contouring surgery, and a 20-minute presentation on my new operation (the super body lift) which was very successful. But it was above all awe-inspiring to address so many surgeons, even more so in English.
The French were well represented and the SOFCEP stand was very well hosted by means of a wine and cheese party.
We will all meet again at the Nice Congress in two weeks.
